Broadband Wireless Service

Amplex provides high speed Internet service for homes and businesses in the Ottawa, Eastern Lucas, Northern Wood, and Sandusky counties using Motorola Canopy® wireless equipment.  Unlike 802.11 based wireless service the Canopy technology is fast, robust, and reliable.

We can provide service in many areas that until now have been unable to receive high speed broadband service - at prices that are quite reasonable.  Our broadband wireless technology works in locations that cable and DSL service can't reach - and in most cases is considerably faster than DSL!

Have Amplex host your web page!   We provide web hosting services on both Unix and Microsoft platforms.   Amplex supports a wide variety of hosting technologies - including MySQL, PHP, Java, Sharepoint, ASP and many others.    Check out or Services page for information on hosting your web site.

Webmail

Managing your email is easy using Webmail.   Webmail allows you to read and send email from any computer with an Internet connection - at home, at work, or on vacation.  Using webmail is simple - just click on the Webmail link above or go to http://webmail.amplex.net and enter your full email address (including the domain name - like @amplex.net) and your password.

E-Mail, Spam and Viruses...

Amplex provides virus scanning for all e-mail passing through our mail system for our customers.  Our virus scanner is fast, accurate and updated several times a day to stop even the newest viruses.

Spam tagging:  Mail that appears to be junk is flagged by adding [*] to the subject line of the message.   More details on this system and how you can use it can be found here. 

  

 

Need Help with your Service?

Our office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.    Phone numbers are right at the top of this page.  Outside office hours we answer calls on our cell phones if we are available.   If you reach the answering machine please leave us a message with your phone number and we will contact you as soon as possible.

 

Hate automated phone systems?   We do too - and we try to make ours as painless as possible.   If you want to reach someone right away just hit 0 at any time - it will ring all of the office phones and then start trying cell phones. 

If you hear the 'all support representatives are busy' hold message it means that at least one of us is on the phone with a customer.  It won't last longer than 5 minutes before starting to search cell phones.  If you want to leave a message you can hit 9 at any time during the hold.

 

support@amplex.net is our preferred address for support requests.  Messages sent to support reach everyone on our support team - so you are not waiting for an individual who may be out of town or on vacation.
